Cleveland Browns make shocking pick in first-round NFL Mock Draft
By Randy Gurzi
19. Washington Football Team: Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota
There’s no player who fits the Cleveland Browns offense better than Rashod Bateman but he won’t last until No. 26. In this mock, the Washington Football Team takes him at 19.
20. Carolina Panthers (via draft-day trade with the Chicago Bears): Alijah Vera-Tucker, IOL, USC
After dropping down 12 picks, the Panthers take Alijah Vera-Tucker who could bolster their offensive line and help Sam Darnold feel comfortable.
21. Indianapolis Colts: Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State
Anthony Castonzo retired in the offseason so the Colts take Teven Jenkins here as their next blind-side protector.
22. Tennessee Titans: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame
One of the more versatile defenders in the class, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah joins the Tennessee Titans who need to improve on defense.
23. New York Jets (via Seattle Seahawks): Kwity Paye, EDGE, Michigan
The Jets are back on the clock and now, they add a talented EDGE rusher in Michigan’s Kwity Paye.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama
Right now, the Steelers running back corps is less than impressive. For that reason, they take Najee Harris from Alabama who can carry the load for them — and with Ben Roethlisberger returning, they need someone to carry the offense.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars (via Los Angeles Rams): Greg Newsome II, CB, Northwestern
Right before the Browns are on the clock, the Jaguars take the final cornerback worthy of a first-round pick as they snatch up Greg Newsome II from Northwestern.
