Cleveland Browns 4 biggest needs heading into the 2021 NFL Draft
By Greg Newland
This Thursday Night the Cleveland Browns will be on the clock in Cleveland, OH with the No. 26 pick of the 2021 NFL draft. his will be a strange scenario for fans in a few different ways.
One, the draft is physically in Cleveland, which will add a ton of hype to the fanbase. While the event is still limited because of COVID-19, look for a huge turnout downtown for the event.
Two, this is one of the first offseason where the team doesn’t have a glaring hole. Even after adding so much talent the last few seasons, it was always clear at least on what position they were going to draft. General manager, Andrew Berry, has done such a great job of adding talent that the team is able to draft the best available player.
Three, the Browns don’t pick until No. 26. This is somewhat sad because fans will have to wait so long on Thursday Night for the first pick, but this is what having a winning team feels like, and man what a great feeling that is.
After bolstering the defense in free agency, the team still has a few needs, but pick No. 26 could go a ton of different ways. It also wouldn’t be a shock to see Berry use assets to get his perfect fit by trading up or continue to collect picks and trade back.
One this is for certain, Brown’s fans are in good hands with Berry, and he has earned full trust no matter what decision he makes. As of now, we don’t know what exactly he will do, but below is a breakdown of four positions that still have a slight need on the team. One of these could very well be the direction Berry goes on Thursday Night.
