Three Day 2 players that the Cleveland Browns sadly missed out on in the 2021 NFL Draft

The Cleveland Browns did well for themselves on Day 2 of the 2021 NFL Draft, adding Notre Dame ROVER Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and wide receiver Anthony Schwartz.

Unfortunately, the team did miss out on some very good players at great values.

Here are the top three players they missed during day two.

3. Elijah Molden, CB, Washington

Troy Hill was signed to play the slot for the Browns, and he’s one of the league’s very best at doing that. However, he will play this season at 30 years old and his contract is a two-year deal with an out after the season, so he’s not a long-term piece of the secondary,

Elijah Molden would have been an absolutely perfect replacement for Hill who could contribute right away. He was hands-down the best slot corner in college football over the past two seasons thanks to his elite instincts and feel for the position.

He’s undersized and an underwhelming athlete, but he is still far too good of a player to tumble all the way to pick No. 100, where the Tennessee Titans scooped him up. Had Molden fallen out of Day 2 entirely, he would have been a prime trade-up candidate for the Browns, who would certainly have loved to add another smart and versatile defender to their burgeoning secondary.

There are quality slot corners still on the board, but none as good as Molden, who should prove to be one of the biggest steals of the year. Tennessee really needed corners, and they have added two very good ones thus far in Molden and Caleb Farley.
