The Cleveland Browns had a solid draft and continue to add talent, bringing in DT Marvin Wilson, Jr. as an undrafted free agent. Who else will be joining him?

The 2021 NFL Draft is officially behind us, but the work is far from done as the Cleveland Browns — and the rest of the NFL — are now negotiating with players who didn’t get their names called ruing the 259 picks this weekend.

And as is always the case, the news about players being signed started coming in as soon as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced linebacker Grant Stuard as the final pick in the draft.

One of the first signings announced came courtesy of the Browns as Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network tweeted out that they came to terms with Florida State defensive tackle Marvin Wilson, Jr.

That’s a massive signing bonus and it’s the second year in a row Cleveland went all-in with signing a big-name free agent after the draft. They gave former Oklahoma State cornerback A.J. Green a similar deal, and he became a member of the 53-man roster.

As for Wilson, the Browns were likely negotiating with his agents well before the draft ended since they were done following their selection of Demetric Felton at No. 211 overall.

Both Wilson and McKnight were highly sought after and the Browns lured them to Berea which is a testament to how much the narrative surrounding this team has changed. Suddenly, this is a destination team, which is a very welcome change.

Cleveland’s roster got much better during the draft — especially on defense — and that trend is continuing into the UDFA period.
