A 7-round 2022 Cleveland Browns mock draft for the true draftniks out there

The Cleveland Browns have put a bow on a successful 2021 NFL Draft, but the 2022 Draft is less than 365 days away, which means we must start preparing for it immediately.

Here is a 7-round Browns mock for next year.

Please note that many, if not all of these players will be taken earlier than they are projected here. Gives us a break.

1. Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

The Buckeyes are quickly turning into a wide reciever factory, landing five-start recruit after five-star recruit. Both Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave are likely first-round picks next year, and the fact that Wilson was a key part of the passing attack as a true freshman just goes to show what a talent he is.

He’s listed at only 6-0, 194 pounds, and likely won’t test like a freak, but he’s a great all-around player who can fill any receiver role well. In 21 collegiate games, he’s turned 73 catches into 1,155 yards and 11 touchdowns and should continue to improve in 2021.

Perhaps the Browns won’t be picking high enough to have a shot at Wilson, but that’s a bridge to cross in the future. For now, he steps in and replaces one or both of Cleveland’s expensive LSU brothers, because for how much that duo is getting paid and the lack of production and efficiency they’ve offered, things are going to change after this season, making wide receiver the team’s top need next offseason.
