The stage has been set, and the Cleveland Browns finally know when they will be playing their opponents for the 2021 season. While the Browns did get lucky with a third-place schedule even after making it to the playoffs and winning their first-round game, they did draw the Kansas City Chiefs in week one who have represented the AFC in the Super Bowl the last two seasons and won it all in 2019.

It’s easy to panic when you look at the schedule, especially for Browns fans who aren’t used to the team being good. But remember, the NFC East that they drew last season is out, and the much tougher NFC North is in. Man, seeing Aaron Rodgers leave Green Bay wouldn’t be so bad now.

Another unfamiliar sight is four primetime games, one of which lands on Christmas day. I can honestly think of no Christmas blues cure other than watching the Browns beat the Packers in Lambeau.

While it is way too early to start projecting wins and losses, we are going to do it anyway. Here is a way too early look at the Browns schedule with wins and losses for 2021.

Week 1 @ Kansas City – Sept. 12

This is a tough draw for the Browns, are is it a tougher draw for the Chiefs coming off a Super Bowl loss? While it’s still a toss-up, one thing is for sure, Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be on the call, and the Browns have laid too many eggs in front of them so far.

A full offseason should benefit the Browns for this one, but it will certainly be a dog fight.  We will get a very early look at just how improved that secondary is.  This is close, but the Browns lose a tough one, as the defense just hasn’t had time to gel.

Prediction: 30-27 Chiefs
