Week 2 vs. Houston – Sept. 19

The Houston Texans are a team going through a lot of change, and it’s still not for certain that Deshaun Watson will even be playing. Number one he wants to be traded, and number two, he is facing some serious lawsuits.

While no game in the NFL is ever easy, the Cleveland Browns will get back in the victory column in week two and get their first home win of the season for fans. Look for Baker Mayfield to have a field day vs. the Texans and continue to show the organization he deserves a contract extension.

Prediction: 34-27 Browns.

Week 3 vs. Chicago – Sept. 26

I think one break the Browns got was catching the Chicago Bears early in the season. There will be quarterback controversy with Andy Dalton and Justin Fields, and the Browns could catch them before they hit a rhythm.

The Bears defense will keep them in almost every single game, but the Browns running attack will be too much to handle and they will eventually wear the Bears down. Look for Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney to be in the quarterback’s head early and often making it a very long day.

After a tough loss to begin the year, look for the Browns to come out of September with a winning record of 2-1, ready to tackle October.

Prediction: 28-17 Browns.
