1. Owusu-Koramoah’s health, not a concern

Everyone who followed the NFL Draft was surprised when Notre Dame linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah slide into the second round. Cleveland Browns fans, who thought he might be an option at No. 26 overall, were starting to wonder if their team would make a move to end his slide, and eventually, that’s what they did.

Cleveland traded up to No. 52 and took the hybrid linebacker who is a perfect fit for the scheme run by defensive coordinator Joe Woods. Then shortly after he was drafted, reports surfaced that a heart condition was the reason for his slide.

During the minicamps, JOK took the time to discuss this and said that his heart is 100 percent healthy and it’s not something he’s worried about.

"“That was something that I couldn’t control in terms of the reports that came out. Nevertheless, what I’m worried about, again, is the things that I am dealing with in terms of whatever my heart is and whatever my heart is not—my heart is 100% sure, my heart is 100% healthy,” — Owusu-Koramoah said via Camryn Justice of News 5 Cleveland."

In the end, this could wind up being the best thing for both the Browns and Owusu-Koramoah. Not only did they land a player who fits their defense like a glove, but he landed with the team he grew up rooting for.
