Tackles

"Haason Reddick: 255 TJ Watt: 230 Myles Garrett: 152 Samson Ebukam: 150 Deatrich Wise: 131 Derek Barnett: 101 Solomon Thomas: 95 Ryan Anderson: 86 Tarell Basham: 84 Carl Lawson: 81"

A new face emerges at the top of a statistic, and it is now Carolina Panthers defender Haason Reddick. Tackles obviously are slightly skewed towards guys who play in the outside linebacker role, but nonetheless, this is still a very impressive feat for Reddick. Myles Garrett finds himself third on the list but is the number one true defensive end.

You can clearly see a trend among what names appear at the top of this list, and former number three overall pick Solomon Thomas finally makes an appearance. The top of the 2017 NFL draft is full of guys who would be labeled as busts, like Solomon Thomas and Mitchell Trubisky.

The real talent in this draft class was centered in the early 10s in Patrick Mahomes, and Deshaun Watson, and the back end of the first round, with Watt, Tre’Davious White, and Ryan Ramcyzk. That is what makes it even more impressive that the Cleveland Browns actually took the right pick with the first overall pick, given their history of draft busts.
