The Cleveland Browns lost Odell Beckham to a torn ACL in Week 7 of the 2020 season but they continue to see great progress from him heading into 2021

Last year, the Cleveland Browns found a lot of success and that was even without one of their more electric players. Wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. suffered a torn ACL early in their Week 7 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals and was lost for the season.

With him out, the offense started to click on all cylinders which led to some suggesting he was holding them back. In reality, it was probably more of a result of the offense starting to figure things out in the new system rookie head coach Kevin Stefanski was installing, but blaming OBJ seemed easier for some.

For the rest of us, the idea of No. 13 coming back and playing in this offense with Baker Mayfield playing as well as he did down the stretch is an exciting prospect. And reports are suggesting that Odell Beckham is making great progress in his rehab.

Odell Beckham, Jr. has looked ‘awesome’

Recently, Jeremy Fowler appeared on SportsCenter and said another NFL player used one word to describe how Beckham looks right now, and that word was “awesome.”

Beckham has been seen running on treadmills in preparation for the 2021 season and his speed appears to be back to where it was. And for anyone who forgot just what he can do, the NFL’s official Twitter account recently shared a video of his play against the Dallas Cowboys that capped off a Week 4 win.

In 23 games with Cleveland, Beckham jas 97 receptions for 1,354 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s also added 82 yards and the touchdown against Dallas as a runner.

Still, he hasn’t really been the player Cleveland hoped he would be when they traded for him ahead of the 2019 season.

Next. Should Baker Mayfield be extended first?. dark

His goal now will be to prove that he can still be the player he was before the trade and re-joining a team that is in the same system for the second season in a row will go a long way toward helping him achieve that goal.
