The Cleveland Browns offense is very good but if they were to land one of these three wide receivers in free agency next year, they could be unstoppable

It’s hard to pick apart anything the Cleveland Browns did this offseason. For the second year in a row, general manager Andrew Berry aggressively went after several major needs and turned some of the team’s major weaknesses into strengths.

Last year, he corrected one of the worst offensive lines in the game — which is now being touted as the best. This season, he completely revamped the defense.

Having said that, there was one area where they could have looked to add more competition — wide receiver. Sure, they added Anthony Schwartz in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft but they could have also used a player to potentially groom as a No. 1 target down the road.

While it’s not necessary to make a trade for anyone, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to look at free agency in 2022 and see who the top three wideouts Berry could go after if he were to decide to get even more dangerous out wide.

3. Courtland Sutton

A torn ACL cost Courtland Sutton his third NFL season as he was only able to play in one game last season and had three receptions for 66 yards. It was a shame for him to have to miss the season especially after the strides he made in his first two years in the league.

As a rookie, Sutton had 42 receptions for 704 yards and four touchdowns and followed that up with 72 catches for 1,112 yards and six more touchdowns. He’s difficult to defend due to his incredible combination of size (6-foot-4, 216-pounds) and speed.

Sutton is also great at hauling in contested passes and averages over 16 yards per catch for his career. His ability to get deep is exactly what this offense needs and with the way Cleveland can dominate in the running game, he would be good for a few play-action passes down the field every week.
