PFF ranks the Cleveland Browns offensive line as best in the NFL

The Cleveland Browns are loaded up, primed and ready to make another playoff run and this time reach the Super Bowl.

With expectations of a Lombardy from the fans and the media, everyone is buzzing about the Browns and Pro Football Focus is in the same boat.

PFF’s Steve Palazzolo had high praise for the guys in the trenches.

"“The Cleveland Browns heading into 2021 with the best offensive line in the NFL, no weaknesses across the board.” — Palazzolo on the Browns offensive line"

Looking at each player individually, the line is absolutely stacked:

  • Jack Conklin – 84 PFF grade (10th among offensive tackles)
  • Wyatt Teller – 92.3 PFF grade (1st among guards)
  • J.C. Tretter – 81 PFF grade (2nd among centers)
  • Joel Bitonio – 85.5 PFF grade (5th among guards)
  • Jedrick Wills Jr. – 62.6 PFF grade (57th among tackles)

While Jedrick Wills sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the line, Palazzolo still described him as “solid” at right tackle for the Cleveland Browns. He’ll be the key player to watch out for in 2021 as he’s perceived as the “weak link” on the team.

Palazzolo had high praise for guard Wyatt Teller.

"“The best run blocking guard in the entire NFL last year.”"

He also spoke highly of Tretter and Bitonio.

"“Very dependable, top 10 players at their respective positions.”"

This is without a doubt the most talented Cleveland Browns team that the city has seen in a while — and general manager Andrew Berry deserves a lot of credit for helping add talent to what was once a weakness. Also deserving of a lot of credit is Bill Callahan, the legendary offensive line coach who has helped the five men in the trenches develop into a solid unit.
