The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including a look at who is in Austin working out with Baker Mayfield

Cleveland has often been called LSU North since the Cleveland Browns have a knack for adding players from LSU. But now, maybe we can start talking about Berea South as many players are meeting elsewhere this offseason to practice.

With voluntary OTAs taking place in Berea, the majority of the Browns offensive players have opted to meet in Austin, Texas to prepare for the season. It was already reported that Baker Mayfield was planning to work in his hometown this offseason and now there are reports of how many of his teammates are joining him‚— and it’s nearly the entire offense.

On Wednesday, some of the names of the players working with Baker Mayfield started to roll out and the list included Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham, Jr., Donovan Peoples-Jones, and possibly David Njoku.

Last season, these guys were unable to work out together due to the pandemic. Thankfully this year, they are able to get on the same page — and they don’t have a new offense to learn either.

The story on their workout and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

"“It’s a great feeling,’’ Williams said. “Just being reunited with the team, going through the drills with them and things like that, it gives you the happiest moments.”"

It’s been a long road for Williams after missing the entire 2020 season with a nerve issue in his shoulder but he’s finally back at practice. Cleveland could use him too as they look to improve their defense which was a disaster last year.

Giants to hold joint practices with Browns and Patriots prior to preseason games in August: sources — Pat Leonard, New York Daily News

"“Browns coach Kevin Stefanski announced on Wednesday that his team would host the Giants for two practices leading up to the teams’ Aug. 22 preseason game at Cleveland’s FirstEnergy Stadium.”"

Joint practices can be a bit tricky. While it’s good to go against another team, they often lead to some unnecessary fights. Still, the Browns and Giants believe the good outweighs any negative.
