1. Health

This goes for all teams, but the Browns absolutely must stay healthy if they are to play in February. They suffered serious losses last season that ended up holding back both units when it mattered.

Nick Chubb. Odell Beckham Jr. KhaDarel Hodge. JoJo Natson. David Njoku. Austin Hooper. Jedrick Wills Jr. Wyatt Teller. Jack Conklin. Chris Hubbard. Myles Garrett. Olivier Vernon. Adrian Clayborn. Larry Ogunjobi. Jacob Phillips. Mack Wilson. Denzel Ward. Ronnie Harrison. Karl Joseph. Kevin Johnson. Greedy Williams. Grant Delpit.

All of these players missed time last year, some more than others. The secondary and receiver rooms were hit hardest, their deficiencies coming to a head in the Divisional Round. Jadeveon Clowney, Curtis Weaver, Malik Jackson, Marvin Wilson, Takk McKinley, John Johnson III, and Greg Newsome all have either concerning and lengthy injury histories or recent issues.

It is only reasonable to be concerned about this team staying moderately healthy through a 17-game season plus three or four playoff rounds.

On paper, Cleveland has one of, if not the most talented rosters in the NFL. But tragedy will strike at some point. It always does. Hopefully, it does not wind up taking with it a player who is vital to the Browns Super Bowl hopes, as it did in 2020.
