After missing out on the event last season, Cleveland Browns receiver Jarvis Landry was again able to host his celebrity softball game and it was a huge hit

One of the many things lost in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic was the celebrity softball game which has been hosted annually by Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry.

Not being able to watch such an event is on the smaller side of sacrifices made across the globe during the pandemic but it was nice to see the event back this season. And as always, the money raised was for a great cause as it went to support several charities including Landry’s foundation.

Jarvis Landry’s Building Winners Foundation aims to help families facing socioeconomic disparities as well as helping those dealing with Cystic Fibrosis. It’s a fantastic cause and it was wonderful to again see fans come out to support Landry and his friends as they raised money.

Some of the attendees outside of Cleveland players (which included Baker Mayfield, Myles Garrett, Mack Wilson, Kareem Hunt, David Njoku, and Denzel Ward) were Travis Kelce, Xavien Howard, Micah Parsons, Justin Fields, and Henry Ruggs II. Also in attendance was Browns legend, Bernie Kosar.

But it was Kelce who seemed to stand out the most as the Kansas City Chiefs tight end showed up in a throwback Cleveland Indians jersey and saying the Browns and Chiefs are “neck and neck.” He also said it felt good to be home in Cleveland but called it “enemy territory.”

"“I’m at home, but it’s still enemy territory,” Kelce said, noting his team’s budding AFC rivalry with the Browns. “It’s so weird.” — Kelce on being in Cleveland for the game according to Tyler Carey and January Keaton from WKYC"

7,000 fans were in attendance to watch the players enjoy themselves and they saw Mayfield take home the co-home run derby title as well — which was something he came in saying he was going to win.

It was for a great cause while also being a fun day for the players to be able to do as they get ready for mandatory OTAs which start on June 15.
