1. Joejuan Williams, DB, New England Patriots

Out of all the players on this list, Williams makes by far the most sense for Cleveland. The team lacks depth at safety and cornerback, and Williams can help at both. He’s not yet 24 years old and offers a very intriguing physical profile. He was the 45th overall pick in 2019 but has logged only 257 snaps over his first two seasons and has struggled.

Still, the talent is there and Williams does have special teams experience. A move to safety could be best for him based on his size and length, and his lack of speed would be less of an issue there. The Patriots have been known to move on from draft picks quicker than other teams, and it doesn’t always work out. Maybe this is one of those cases.

Adding size, versatility, and depth to the secondary should be a priority moving forward, and even if Williams only sees the field on special teams, having him as a worst-case scenario would be an improvement over the current situation.

There’s probably a better chance that Cleveland trades one of their own players for a pick rather than bringing someone in, but never underestimate Andrew Berry’s ability to find value.
