4 roster bubble players the Cleveland Browns should target

No. 1 – Jordan Hicks, Linebacker
The most exciting bubble-cut prospect for the Browns is Arizona Cardinals linebacker, Jordan Hicks. With Isaiah Simmons and Zaven Collins looking to take over as linebackers for the organization, the durable veteran could be looking for a new home.
Adding a guy like Hicks isn’t just picking up an average joe, this is a guy who started all 32 games the last two seasons and has 268 tackles to go along with 4 interceptions, and 1.5 sacks.
Hicks is a cap casualty with the Cardinals who have a ton of young talent at the position, with very few flaws in his game. Why wouldn’t the Browns be interested?
With Mack Wilson or Sione Takitaki already on the block, and the addition of Hicks would all but solidify both not making the roster in 2021. Hicks would be a prime candidate for a one-year while guys like Jacob Phillips and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah acclimate to the NFL game.

Hicks is not a necessity, but a luxury. While some may not believe a linebacker can impact a defense enough to make a big investment, I’m not yet in that camp. Hicks paired with Anthony Walker could take this defense from great to elite.
