5 Cleveland Browns who will turn heads at training camp

2. Demetric Felton, RB
It’s not often that a sixth-round pick feels like a lock to make the roster, but Demetric Felton could be just that for Cleveland this season. Taken at No. 211 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, Felton was the Browns final pick in the 2021 NFL Draft after putting together an impressive career at UCLA.
Felton spent time at wide receiver and running back while with the Bruins, gaining 1,101 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground as well as 958 yards and eight touchdowns as a receiver. He was also used as a return man, netting 611 yards on kickoff returns.
Looking forward to his chances of making the Browns roster, Felton should be able to contend for the third running back position. While D’Ernest Johnson won’t be a pushover, Felton’s ability to contribute as a running back and returner the same way Johnson does, as well as his skill as a receiver, could be enough to get him on the 53-man roster.
Once camp opens up, look for Felton to be a player making a lot of noise. His versatility will end up getting him looks all over the field and that’s going to be enough to get him notices.
