The Cleveland Browns will have 90 players fighting for a spot on the 53-man roster and these three could be on their last chance with the team

It’s almost that time of year again. The Cleveland Browns and the rest of the NFL will start training camp at the end of July and the Browns just announced their schedule — which includes 12 open practices and two joint practices with the New York Giants.

Once the players come together in Berea, there will be several important battles to keep an eye on as everyone fights for their spot with the team.

But which players enter camp with the most pressure? Here we look at three guys who could be on their last chance in 2021 — and why that might be the case.

3. Greedy Williams, Cornerback

Last year, the Cleveland Browns lost half their defensive backfield during the same practice when Grant Delpit tore his Achilles and Greedy Williams hurt his shoulder. Both players have returned to practice and there’s hope they could each contribute in 2021.

For Williams though, there’s a whole lot more uncertainty surrounding him. Williams missed four games in 2019 which was his rookie season but then in 2020, he missed the entire season with a nerve issue in his shoulder.

Cleveland since added Greg Newsome II with their first-round pick in 2021 and signed Troy Hill in free agency. That means Williams could slide all the way to fourth on the depth chart and with his injury concerns, that could make him a player who might not be in the team’s long-term plans.
