No. 3 – Donovan Peoples-Jones Making a statement

Something everyone knew could happen is Donovan Peoples-Jones turning into a star.  But after struggling at Michigan, there were a lot of questions on if his hype was overdone. However, so far at camp, Peoples-Jones has been putting on a clinic.

He started his camp off with a bang and now has become the top target for Baker Mayfield daily. He has shined nearly every day, but the biggest highlight this week was a 60-yard touchdown from Mayfield on Wednesday.

Peoples-Jones came into the season as the projected fourth receiver but is going to make it very difficult to keep him off the field. This will be a major benefit for the Browns as Odell Beckham has struggled with injuries in the past and having some depth will be a huge plus.

Who is this bad news for? Rashard Higgins. Unfortunately, Higgins has already been limited in camp because of an injury, and now he is likely watching a guy take his snaps. Higgins has always had a great connection with Mayfield, but Peoples-Jones is a next-level athlete who can make the big play any time he touches the ball.

Time will tell but expect Peoples-Jones to be a big part of the offense in 2021.
