While it is no secret that Wyatt Teller will land a big contract wherever he ends up, one can only hope it’s an extension with the Cleveland Browns

Emerging quickly as one of the best offensive lineman in football, Cleveland Browns guard Wyatt Teller has become a hot topic around Browns football, once again falling under the category of extensions.

Teller is entering the last year of his 4-year $2.7 million dollar contract he signed a while back with Buffalo before being traded to Cleveland. Teller is coming off of his best season yet in his young NFL career, ranking a top the rankings in PFF and putting the entire league on notice.

Earlier on Wednesday, Teller had nothing but positive things to say when it comes to the Browns and where he stands in terms of a potential contract extension.

When asked about a potential extension, the response screamed nothing but focus and staying humble.

"“I love Cleveland, the fans and the city. Team works with my agent, and he leaves me out of it. The best thing I can do right now is focus on football. I still need to work to make that payday even more realistic.” — Teller on playing for Cleveland"

When it comes to teams and how close they are as a unit, it can be pretty difficult to keep everyone together, especially when you have a team as loaded with talent as the Browns are. Teller, however, enjoys how close the Browns are to one another and has nothing but fun with them day in and day out.

"“When you have these star-studded teams you don’t expect them to be as close-knit or as tight as you are.”"

While Teller might think the Browns are special, he knows just how special and important he is to this team. We’ve seen how quarterback Baker Mayfield plays with a bad line and how hard it can be on the young quarterback, so the Browns must pay Teller good money if they want to keep him around longer than this season.

Again, either way, Teller is going to cash in on a nice payday; with Cleveland or without.
