3 Cleveland Browns demanding attention in Preseason Week 2

1. Cleveland Browns star defensive ends
As mentioned earlier, the Browns aren’t expected to play their starters on Sunday — and for good reason. This team showed in 2020 that they can win games even without a preseason, so they’re using these exhibition games to get some of the younger players — and borderline guys — some action.
But that doesn’t mean there are no starters commanding attention ahead of the game. In fact, two of the biggest names on defense were getting a lot of love as both Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney were on the field practicing.
It was the first time in a while the two starting defensive ends were on the field together and that got a lot of fans excited, especially when videos of them working out began to surface.
Cleveland has a great luxury on their defensive line with both Garrett and Clowney being former No. 1 overall picks in their respective drafts. Clowney was taken out of South Carolina in 2014 by Houston (and has spent time with Seattle and Tennessee before landing with the Browns this offseason) and Garrett was taken first overall out of Texas A&M in 2017 by Cleveland.
Garrett has become one of the best edge rushers in the game and Clowney, while some think he’s been a disappointment, is still an incredibly disruptive defensive end who can set the edge against the run like few others and mucks things up in the backfield constantly.
He might have issues with injuries, but he can surely get the job done — and fans are thrilled at the prospect of seeing these two working on the same line as one another.
