Cleveland Browns grades: Who got an A, who got an F vs. Giants?

The Cleveland Browns Secondary
The Browns special team unit played well today overall and didn’t make things more interesting as players did their job. The rookie Felton ran back three punts on the day for 21 yards. The Browns other speedster, JoJo Natson ran back two punts for only 11 yards but had a nice rush with the offense as he took a jet sweep to the right for12 yards.
Our punter Jamie Gillian kicked four punts for a 46-yard average.
The big story on special teams was that Browns kicker Cody Parkey was injured in the first half, giving kicker Chase McLaughlin potentially the upper hand in this dual to see who the Browns go with this season to be their field goal kicker. McLaughlin took advantage of the situation late in the game by nailing a 49-yard kick that would have gone for 60 yards easily.
The Browns special teams didn’t give up any big scores on the day and very little yardage.
Grade: B
So, if you were paying attention, yes, actually no one unit of the Browns earned an A from this teacher. Hopefully next week all these units can put together an outstanding job as a collective group.
There were nice moments by the Browns in this game but nothing that’ll earn you an A yet. On to Atlanta!
