The Cleveland Browns preseason finale will take place in Atlanta and these three players find themselves on the roster bubble, fighting for a job

It’s the final week of the preseason as the Cleveland Browns are preparing to face off with the Atlanta Falcons.

Following this contest, they will have a week off as they prepare to play against the Kansas City Chiefs. In years past, there was no bye week after the preseason so that’s a welcome change.

What isn’t changed though, is how important this final exhibition game really is. While it won’t matter in the standings, it will matter to several players who are trying to earn their way onto the 53-man roster and have just one last shot at securing their spot.

Here we look at three such players, as we identify three Cleveland Browns on the roster bubble heading into Atlanta.

3. JoJo Natson, Wide Receiver/Returner

JoJo Natson was added as a return man last season and the Browns were also determined to get him some action as a receiver as well. He spent a couple of weeks running fake reverses before finally getting a carry in Week 3 — which covered all of three yards.

Natson was also hurt in that game, tearing his ACL and ending his first campaign with Cleveland. Back for year two, Natson has a tough road ahead of him if he wants to make the team.

There are several wide receivers ahead of him now with names such as Odell Beckham, Jr., Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and Anthony Schwartz ahead of him. KhaDarel Hodge is also likely a better option at receiver as is Davion Davis — even though he’s suspended for the first two games.

That means Natson would need to make the team based on his return skills but there are options there as well with Demetric Felton and D’Ernest Johnson both proving capable as returners. This game against Atlanta can be huge for Natson as he aims to prove he’s one of the best 53 players on this team.
