As general managers make their final cuts of the preseason, Andrew Berry and the Cleveland Browns should keep their eyes on these four players.

With the preseason coming to an end and the regular season about to begin for the Cleveland Browns, that means a ton of changes will be coming for NFL teams. Right now, all rosters are at 80, but in a few short weeks, they will need to be reduced to just 53.

What does that mean for Andrew Berry, Kevin Stefanski, and the Cleveland Browns? They have a lot of difficult cuts coming, and they can improve their roster from other players cut around the league.

It’s not likely that a team will find a starting-caliber player in the field of players who don’t make a final roster, but you can certainly find young guys with potential. On top of finding a guy that can provide depth at a position. Final roster cuts will also feature veteran players who may be past their prime, but certainly, add value from a leadership perspective.

Keep reading to see four players that could be cut before the start of the regular season that Browns should consider signing.

No. 4 – Juston Burris, Safety

Juston Burris was a part of the Cleveland Browns 2019 season that started out slow and really picked up steam at the end of the year. Burris ended up seeing a ton of snaps at safety because of so many injuries and really did play well at times.

Because of his success in Cleveland, he got a shot with the Panthers in 2020 and really didn’t live up to expectations. With a poor year and the addition of Jaycee Horn, there is a good shot the Panthers will look to save $3 million and release Burris.

This isn’t a guy who’s going to come in and start for the Browns but would be a great backup in the system and be a contributor on special teams.
