Browns roster: KhaDarel Hodge puts up fight in preseason finale with athletic TD catch

KhaDarel Hodge might not be a lock to make the Cleveland Browns roster but he won’t go out quietly as evidenced by his athletic touchdown catch vs Atlanta
It’s no secret that the Cleveland Browns are loaded at the receiver position. With them having to get down to the 53 man roster in the near future, they are certainly using this last preseason game as a final evaluation for many.
One of the bubble guys looking to impress in their final exhibition outing? Receiver KhaDarel Hodge.
Hodge is battling with many other solid receivers on the Browns roster, as again they are just absolutely stacked and deep at the position.
This past week, there have been many reports and rumors that this could be his final game with Cleveland and he may be the one to see the door. So far in the preseason finale, he is doing everything he can to get one of those final roster spots.
While it was a nice grab from Hodge, it was also an absolute dime from quarterback Baker Mayfield who was making his debut. Mayfield played the first two drives of the game, but he has seen his final snaps of the preseason as they have pulled him for the rest of the game — and for good reason.
The rest of the game will still be huge for Hodge as well as the rest of the receivers, as they continue to battle it out. While some also think they could keep more than 5 receivers on their final roster, I do not think that is a reality.
They are deep at the position, and 5 should be plenty for the season.
