The Cleveland Browns started to trim their roster to get to 53 players. Follow us for all the news, including the release of Kyle Lauletta

The Cleveland Browns finished up their preseason with a 19-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons. After going 3-0, they’re now focused on their Week 1 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Of course, before they do too much game-planning for a rematch with the team that ended their season, they have to trim their roster to 53 players.

Cleveland, and the rest of the NFL have until Tuesday at 4:00 PM EST to finish their moves bu got started on Monday. Among the first cuts were Kyle Lauletta, JoJo Natson, and Sheldrick Redwine.

Lauletta was a player who seemed ready to make a push for a spot after a great start to the preseason. However, his production waned in the final two games and the Browns felt comfortable enough with Case Keenum to stick with one backup behind Baker Mayfield.

Natson was an exciting return man added last season but he was sidelined with a torn ACL early in the year. This season, he was unable to crack the lineup thanks in large part to the presence of Donovan Peoples-Jones and rookie Demetric Felton who can return as well, but also contribute in the base offense.

Redwine was a fourth-round pick out of Miami in 2019. Cleveland apparently hopes to get him back on the practice squad if he’s not claimed elsewhere.

It’s a tough day as so many players see their journey come to an end, but it’s a necessary evil in the NFL. Stick with us as we keep you up to date on which players Cleveland has decided to move on from as they prepare their 53-man roster.
