Cleveland Browns Bold Prediction No. 1: Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt both rush for 1,000 yards

There have been seven instances of two teammates rushing for over 1,000 yards each in one season. The most recent occurrence was the Baltimore Ravens in 2019, where both quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Mark Ingram broke 1,000 yards.

However, the last time a team had two running backs both tally 1,000 rushing yards in a season was the 2009 Carolina Panthers, where both Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams had over 1,100 yards each. After the 2021 season, you can add both Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt to this list.

The two-headed monster in the Cleveland Browns backfield is the engine that drives the entire offense. A bad day for them likely means that the entire team, or at least the offense, will also not have a good day.

The great thing about these two teammates is that they both compliment each other really well. While Chubb is the lead back and the workhorse of the offense, Hunt is also capable of carrying the ball but is more useful in passing situations. They also both see the field at the same time quite often, something that keeps the defense on their toes, as they don’t ever know where the ball is going to go.

There’s only one football to go around, but both backs seem more than happy to share the workload and work together to get this team wins. With a 17th game added to the schedule this season, numbers are going to go up all around.

That means more carries for both of them, more hits the defenders have to take from these two, and more yards tallied as well.
