The Cleveland Browns will have their hands full against the defending AFC Champs and here are three players that the Browns should be concerned about:

The Cleveland Browns will certainly have their work cut out for them on Sunday against the defending AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Cleveland is looking to beat the same team that ended their season just seven months ago and break a 17-year winless streak in their season opener. The Browns have not won on opening day since 2004 when they beat the Baltimore Ravens 20-3.

The Chiefs only got better this offseason, especially on their offensive line. They added left tackle Orlando Brown, guard Joe Thuney, guard Kyle Long, and drafted center Creed Humphrey in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

4. Tyreek Hill, Wide Receiver

Tyreek Hill, one of the fastest players in the NFL, is someone that this Browns secondary needs to pay a ton of attention to on Sunday. With a 4.29 40-yard dash time, Hill could be past the Browns’ secondary in what seems to be a split of a second.

If a 4.29 40-yard dash doesn’t quite put his shear speed into perspective, how about Hill was the fastest ball carrier in the final week of the preseason. He reached a top speed of 21.56 mph. No, that is not a typo.

Last season, Hill finished with 87 receptions, 1,276 yards, and 15 touchdowns. Hill is the same player who essentially ended the Browns’ season last year on fourth down by catching a five-yard pass with 1:14 seconds left. Not only did Hill close out the game, but he finished the playoff game with eight receptions for 110 yards.

This offseason, the Browns added a lot of talent and speed to the defensive side of the ball. The team will be counting on rookie cornerback Greg Newsome in a big way on Sunday. After winning the starting job alongside Denzel Ward, Newsome will have a lot to deal with in just his first NFL regular-season game.

The Browns will also be counting on their safeties to help cover Tyreek Hill downfield. John Johnson will be playing his first game in a Cleveland Browns uniform and is looking to make an impact right off of the bat.
