The Cleveland Browns were defeated by Kansas City in Week 1. Here are the grades for each unit from the game.

For the past nine months, the Cleveland Browns have had to endure the moment that they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs. They didn’t know they’d get their chance at revenge so soon until a few months ago when the NFL made the Browns and Chiefs rematch week one of the NFL season.

The day finally arrived, as the two teams did battle a hot windy Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

There were so many storylines headed into the game and those stories didn’t disappoint. In the end, the Browns found themselves again on the losing end of the game falling 33-29 to the Chiefs. Cleveland played a very good game, especially in the first half as they built an early 22-10 lead by the break. But a series of late game blunders by the Browns spelled doom for the team.

Having the opportunity to see the game in person and sit amongst the Chief faithful fans, it was heartbreaking loss for the Browns and our fans too as those Chiefs fans were nervous in the stands much of the game — they didn’t know if their team would pull off the comeback win.

This was a difficult game to grade because the Browns did so many things right for most of the game but faltered at the end. Let’s go a little deeper and see how the Browns did on each side of the ball and give them their grades.
