Cleveland Browns 7-round 2022 mock draft continues defensive rebuild

Cleveland Browns Round 6 Pick: Isaiah Pola-Mao, S, USC
Stop me if you’ve heard this before — we come to a position where injuries have been an issue. The Cleveland Browns are still waiting to see 2020 second-round pick Grant Delpit make his debut at safety and they have two other players who have missed time in Ronnie Harrison (who will also be a free agent) and Rochard LeCounte.
That’s why we get some insurance here with the selection of Isaiah Pola-Mao out of USC. Not known as a great tackler, he’s at least proven himself as a ball hawk. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s a former long-jump champion in high school and can high-point the ball with anyone. This could be another late-round find for Berry, who has yet to select a player who didn’t make the roster.
Cleveland Browns Round 7 Pick: Arnold Ebiketie, EDGE, Penn State
A transfer from Temple, Arnold Ebikitie is trying to prove he can continue to have success in the Big Ten. So far, he’s looked good with three tackles for a loss and a sack in his first two games with them.
Right now, he seems to be under the radar, which is how he’s still on the board in Round 7. If he keeps playing well, that might not be the case when the draft does roll around.
For now, however, he’s on the board in this simulation during Round 7 and the Browns jump at a chance to get even more depth on the edge.
