1. Cleveland Browns OT, Chris Hubbard

Starting, second-year left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. played just 20 snaps against the Chiefs before leaving the game with an ankle injury. Stefanski said Wills is “day-to-day” and they will evaluate his progress throughout the week.

Should Wills not be able to suit up on Sunday, Chris Hubbard will get the start, as he was the one who replaced Wills.

The next-man-up mentality is always in play, regardless of position, as injuries can spring up at any moment. Browns fans need not worry, as Hubbard, an eight-year veteran, can hold his own at the position.

Hubbard did his job on Sunday in his 39 offensive snaps and was part of ESPN’s highest ranked unit in pass block win rate. Mayfield had ample amounts of time in the pocket and was able to use that to be surgical against the Chiefs secondary.

With Hubbard being able to fill in, there is no need to rush Wills back if he is not 100% healthy. Center JC Tretter said there’s an expectation that Hubbard can step in and play as a starter.

"“Chris is a grizzled veteran. He’s been in those situations plenty. The expectation’s that he can step in and play as a starter and play at a high level. We never worry about it when Chris comes into the game because he’s shown time and time again that he can do that.” Tretter said via Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal."
