Here are five bold predictions to watch for when the Cleveland Browns welcome the Houston Texans to FIrstEnergy Stadium in week two.

The Cleveland Browns left Kansas City disappointed after watching a 12-point lead disappear in the second half of the season opener.

Now the Browns return to Cleveland and turn their attention to the AFC South-leading Houston Texans.

Here are five bold predictions that I believe will happen for the Browns in week two.

Cleveland Browns Bold Prediction No. 1: Anthony Schwartz will score his first NFL touchdown

When the Browns selected Anthony Schwartz in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft, it was because of an elite trait that can not be coached; world-class speed. The general consensus was the Browns would utilize Schwartz a handful of times a game just to take the top off of defenses. While at Auburn, Schwartz was used in a similar fashion, and until he could develop as a receiver it was assumed, he would mainly be a decoy.

Schwartz’development as a receiver looked to take a hit after suffering a soft tissue injury early in training camp. The Browns shelved the rookie, and he spent the majority of camp on an exercise bike. Schwartz was worked back into the fold towards the end of training camp, and he played a few snaps in the final preseason game.

With zero expectations heading into the season opener, Schwartz caught the Browns’ fanbase and the Chiefs completely off guard. The rookie caught three passes for 69 yards and displayed that ludicrous speed that was his calling card coming out of college.

Many chalked up the rookie’s opening day usage up to the fact that Odell Beckham was inactive. With Beckham already ruled out for this week, Schwartz should see another uptick in playtime. However, going forward it would appear that Schwartz will have a spot in the game plan carved out for him regardless of who is available.

Whether it comes from a nine route or a jet sweep, I fully expect the rookie to score his first NFL touchdown this week against the Texans.
