Jarvis Landry injury further dampens receiver corps

The Cleveland Browns scored early in the first quarter but suffered a potential loss as Jarvis Landry headed to the locker room with a knee injury
There were several highs and lows in the first quarter of the Cleveland Browns home opener against the Houston Texans.
Cleveland started with the ball but had to punt after Baker Mayfield was sacked on third-and-long. That low was met with a high as the Browns recovered a muffed punt as Andre Roberts was unable to hold onto the Jamie Gillan kick.
Linebacker Sione Takitaki recovered the ball and after a great pass from Mayfield to Harrison Bryant, Cleveland was able to go up 7-0 thanks to a one-yard touchdown from Andy Janovich.
However, not all news was great as the Browns may have lost Jarvis Landry to a knee injury. Landry who made a first down on the opening drive when he caught a nine-yard pass headed to the sideline after the play. Then while the offense was getting back on the field, he headed to the locker room for further evaluation.
Landry’s exit highlights an already thin receiver corps. They’re still without Odell Becham, Jr. as he recovers from a torn ACL suffered last season. They also have concerns with rookie Anthony Schwartz, who is active but spent the week with a questionable designation due to a knee injury of his own.
With all that being said, Mayfield and the Browns are going to rely heavily on Schwartz as well as second-year player Donovan Peoples-Jones and veteran Rashard Higgins from this point on.
Making things more difficult, the Texans scored quickly on their opening drive, making it 7-7 as Cleveland looks for their first win of the season.
