The Cleveland Browns won against the Houston Texans and we look back at four interesting stats from the game

It wasn’t as pretty as we expected but the Cleveland Browns did what they needed to do and won in Week 2 against the Houston Texans. They survived the loss of Jarvis Landry and a scare with Baker Mayfield as well, who appeared to hurt his left shoulder, to win 31-21.

Now at 1-1 on the season, they’re preparing for the Chicago Bears but we’re still going to look back at the first win of the season.

Here we do exactly that with four stats from their win to break down.

4. Cleveland Browns Nick Chubb is in the midst of a great streak

We all know Nick Chubb is a beast. The Browns star running back is arguably one of the top three in the NFL and the only reason he doesn’t run away with every rushing title is the fact that he shares the backfield with someone who has a rushing title under his belt, Kareem Hunt.

While Chubb is working toward his third-straight 1,000-yard season, he’s also got another impressive streak going on. On Sunday, he rushed for 95 yards on 11 carries and ran a 26-yard touchdown that put the game away. That score also happened to make it eight consecutive games with a rushing touchdown for the young back. Right now, that’s the longest streak in the NFL.

Chubb has continued to be a true pro. He says very little and lets his play talk for him. He’s a running back who seems to be tailor-made for the Browns and he continues to carry this offense on his back whenever they ask him to.
