The Cleveland Browns moved to 2-1 on the season with a win over Chicago and these five players are standing out in a big way thus far

A big win on Sunday moved the Cleveland Browns to 2-1 on the young season as they stay tied for first place in the AFC North after three weeks.

Their latest win was a 26-6 victory over the Chicago Bears as they welcomed back Odell Beckham, Jr. while also ruining the starting debut for former Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields.

There was a lot of action in this one and we now take a minute to look back at five players who suddenly have some rapidly increasing stock.

5. Cleveland Browns Kicker, Chase McLaughlin

Kickers don’t get much love in the NFL. They don’t have an enviable job either as they sit on the sidelines waiting for their chance and they often get put into some of the most pressure-filled situations once they are called upon. And oftentimes, one mistake from them can be devastating.

For the Browns, it seems to be a never-ending carousel of kickers but after Cody Parkey played well in 2020 they were hoping for some consistency. Unfortunately, Parkey was lost for the season due to an injury which meant Chase McLaughlin would be the guy as we were again getting to know a new kicker.

Since he had bounced all around the NFL ‚— five teams in two seasons — there was some uneasiness when he took the field in Week 1. But now after three weeks, he looks to be one of the more consistent players on this Cleveland roster.

McLaughlin was 4-of-4 on field-goal attempts and 2-of-2 on extra points Sunday as the Browns won 26-6 against Chicago — while also drilling a 57-yarder to score the first points of the game for the home team. In all, he’s now 11-of-11 on field goals and 9-of-9 on extra points after three games. Suddenly, we all seem to feel calm when McLaughlin comes on for his attempts, and he deserves some praise for that.
