Cleveland Browns: Kareem Hunt running wild on Vikings
By Randy Gurzi
The Cleveland Browns offense is getting a huge boost from running back Kareem Hunt who ripped off a 33-yard run in addition to an earlier touchdown
It looked as though the Cleveland Browns would be heading to the half with a one-point lead after Baker Mayfield was called for an intentional grounding penalty. But then, Kareem Hunt decided to show off his skills.
With roughly a minute left before the half, the Browns tried to move into field goal range but they were facing a third-and-20 from their own 26-yard line after Mayfield was flagged for throwing the ball away while in the pocket — with no receivers in the area.
That’s when they called a draw play for Hunt who ripped off a 33-yard run to not only convert the long conversion but also put his team in range for a field goal.

There were three incompletions after the run and then Chase McLaughlin came in and drilled a 48-yard field goal.
For Hunt, it capped off a great first half where he had 50 yards on eight rushes as well as 17 yards on two receptions. Earlier in the second quarter, he had a one-yard touchdown as he was largely responsible for the Browns 11-unanswered points.
It could have been more as well. Early in the second, Cleveland had the ball in the red zone and Hunt found himself wide open in the end zone but Mayfield overthrew him. The Browns were then stopped on fourth-down, leaving them with no points on that drive.
Hunt continues to share the backfield with Nick Chubb, giving the Browns a running back duo that’s nearly impossible to stop.
