The Cleveland Browns are traveling to the sunny skies of California to face the Chargers Sunday. Here are three questions they need to answer in the game.

The Cleveland Browns are 3-1 on the season, the second year in a row they’ve been there, behind their coach Kevin Stefanski leadership, who by all accounts has provided that needed stability that now has his team reaching for lofty goals and a Super Bowl. However some Browns fans have been so out of the loop, they’ve spent the last week complaining and concerned about their franchise quarterback Baker Mayfield.

I get it. He stunk Sunday. It was one of the worst games he’s played in his career and I’ll discuss that in a bit more detail in a bit. But our now stoic defense has been reborn and is now getting folks in Cleveland and across the league to take note after only giving up six and seven points in the past two games.

Can the Browns defense now carry this team that was supposed to have a superior offense? So many questions.

Now Cleveland has a road trip to Los Angeles in the works this weekend. The Los Angeles Chargers won a Monday Night affair against the Las Vegas Raiders and now the Browns have to go face the hottest team in the AFC. Unlike the Browns, the Chargers actually went to play the Kansas City Chiefs a couple of weeks ago out at Arrowhead Stadium and won.

Cleveland certainly has its work cut out for them Sunday but if that new and very improved defense of the Browns shows up again and Browns quarterback Mayfield can snap out of it, then the Browns can certainly win the game. For context the last time the Browns beat the Chargers was a home game in 2016 when they got their only win of the season.

That’s right, do you remember that game on Christmas Eve? The Browns went 1-15 that season thanks to the Christmas miracle of 2016.

The last west coast victory for the Browns goes all the way back to 2012 when they beat the Oakland Raiders. A west coast victory against the Chargers would be another notch in coach Stefanski’s belt and a big win by a Browns team breaking down all those past stereotypes of those old Browns teams.

Here are a few more questions you might be thinking this week.
