The Cleveland Browns announced Baker Mayfield has a torn labrum, these three players will need to step up the remainder of October to keep the team moving.

The Cleveland Browns come into Week 5 at 3-1, but they now hit one of the toughest stretches of their schedule. Not only do they face the Los Angeles Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, and Denver Broncos who are all 3-1 right now, they will have three games in a 12-day span.

Cleveland will travel across the US this weekend to play in Los Angeles, host the Arizona Cardinals the following Sunday, and then play the dreaded Thursday night game vs. the Broncos. The good news, two out of three of these games are at home. After the much-needed long week of rest, the Browns will finish the month with the Pittsburgh Steelers at home on Halloween.

It’s no longer as simple as looking at the season in quarters with the addition of the 17th game, but for simplicity what should we expect in the second quarter of the season? I think 3-1 is fantastic, 2-2 is realistic, and 1-3 could happen, but would be less than ideal. With three home games in a row, the Browns must at least win two of those games.

With the breaking news on Thursday that Baker Mayfield may have a more serious shoulder injury than originally anticipated, there are a few other guys on the roster who will have to step up in order to keep the train on the tracks.

Below are three Cleveland Browns who will need to step up in October to make sure the team stays on track in the division and in the playoff race.
