Browns Game Today: Browns vs Chargers injury report, schedule, live stream, TV channel, and betting preview for Week 5 NFL game

The Cleveland Browns have another tough test ahead of them as they go to California for the second part of a two-game road trip. After playing in Minnesota, they now face the Los Angeles Chargers in SoFi Stadium.

Entering the game, each team is 3-1 but the Chargers are a team on the rise. They not only knocked off the Kansas City Chiefs but also took it to the previously undefeated Las Vegas Raiders.

They’re led by second-year quarterback Justin Herbert who is playing fantastic football right now, and will be hard for the Cleveland secondary to deal with — especially considering they will be without Greg Newsome for the second game in a row and have many other defenders on the injury report.

Let’s dive in and check out all the information you need to know about Cleveland’s Week 5 contest.

Browns Injury Report vs Chargers Week 5

The following Browns players have been ruled out for today’s game against Kansas City (courtesy of ClevelandBrowns.com):

Greg Newsome II, CB, Calf
Jedrick Wilks, OT, Ankle
Chris Hubbard, OT, Triceps (places on IR earlier in the week)

The following players have been listed as questionable:

Myles Garrett, DE, Knee/Ankle
Jadeveon Clowney, DE, Elbow
Tony Fields II, LB, Shoulder
Troy Hill, CB, Toe
Takk McKinley, DE, Ankle/Knee
J.C. Tretter, C, Knee
David Njoku, TE, Knee
Malcolm Smith, LB, Abdomen
Denzel Ward, CB, Neck

Injury concerns in the secondary

Newsome missed 40 percent of his collegiate games and now with five possible NFL games to play, he will have missed 40 percent of them. Add to that the fact that Ward, who has yet to play a full season, is dealing with a neck injury and things feel bleak — to say the least. Oh, and Troy Hill is also banged up after playing great in the slot for the first four weeks.

As for some good news, Greedy Williams was great against Minnesota. He could end up drawing some tough assignments this week considering he seems to be the only cornerback who is healthy.

Browns Next Game and Schedule

Things don’t get easy for Cleveland after this. They face a team that’s undefeated entering Week 5 in the Arizona Cardinals as well as a red-hot Denver Broncos club the week after that. They also have to play three games in 11 days since they will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8 on Thursday Night Football — not ideal when there are 10 players listed as questionable already.

Let’s check out their next four games.
