Cleveland Browns with falling stock No. 3: Anthony Walker – Linebacker

If you look at the box score, you may not notice anything off with Anthony Walker in his return game from injured reserved.  Walker played most of the defensive snaps and had six tackles. He was once again the green dot and you could tell he was the vocal leader of the defense.

However, I’m hoping the injury is still a bit of an issue because he looked very slow and took a ton of bad angles on Sunday. Multiple times Justin Herbert threw a quick bubble pass to the running back out of the backfield, and he had no chance of making the play. A couple of times I remember him not even getting a hand on the running back because his angle was so poor.

Walker certainly saw his stock plummet on Sunday, but I do think there is still a potential for a rebound here. Remember, Walker missed the last three weeks because of a hamstring injury. I didn’t see him limping around the field, but there is a good chance that soft tissue injury still isn’t 100 percent healed.

Walker has never been a guy known for his speed, but more as a run stuffer, so the matchup vs. the Chargers was already not in his favor. The Cardinals matchup next Sunday won’t be much better, but let’s hope another week of healing will have his lateral movement back to 100 percent.
