3. Budda Baker, Safety

Staying with the defense, two-time First-Team All-Pro safety Budda Baker is a beast and someone that Mayfield will have to keep a close eye on when going through his reads.

Baker is a big-time playmaker and can cause havoc for quarterbacks daring to throw his way. Despite having just one interception on the season, coming last week off 49ers rookie quarterback Trey Lance, Baker is wherever the ball is. After the game, Baker said he “appreciated” the overthrow from Lance.

He is always making plays and is a really good tackler. On the season, Baker has 36 tackles (26 solo), two for a loss. He has two passes defensed and a fumble recovery.

Baker has been a playmaker since being drafted in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Washington. During his rookie campaign, Baker was a First-Team All-Pro and a Pro Bowler. He was also voted to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.

The Cardinals secondary is quite good and limits opposing quarterbacks to 62.2 percent passing, giving up seven touchdowns thus far and recording five interceptions.

Baker and company are tough but beatable. Baker Mayfield will have to be very mindful of where Budda Baker is all game long. If Mayfield makes a mistake, don’t be surprised if Baker has a hand in it.
