Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns are in danger of being blown out by the Arizona Cardinals at home after back-to-back turnovers from No. 6

In Week 5, Baker Mayfield tried to lead the Cleveland Browns to a win on the final drive and came up short. Even with that being the case, it was hard to be too rough on him since he played well overall.

Not only that, but he wasn’t the one who surrendered 47 points. That meant as he and the Browns were ready to face the undefeated Arizona Cardinals, there was reason to believe he would be able to keep playing well and possibly lead his team to their fourth win of the season.

Unfortunately, it looks as though that’s going to be a tough ask as Baker has now turned the ball over in his own territory on back-to-back drives.

The first was when he was drilled from behind and fumbled the ball, allowing the Cardinals to score a field goal and take a 17-0 lead. Then on the ensuing drive, he tried to go for Rashard Higgins down the field and misfired. Badly.

Mayfield’s pass ended up in the hands of Robert Alford, setting Arizona up with another short field.

Making matters worse, the Browns defense is also struggling with Arizona. Not only do they have no answers for Kyler Murray and the offense but they’re been getting flagged often as well.

Cleveland is in danger of falling to 3-3 if they can’t right the ship. And much of that will fall on the shoulders of No. 6.
