Browns Game Sunday: Browns vs Steelers odds and prediction for NFL Week 8 game
By Randy Gurzi
The Cleveland Browns play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8 of the 2021 NFL Season. Here’s a look at the betting info and a prediction for the game.
After a Thursday Night Football win over the Denver Broncos, the Cleveland Browns had a mini-bye as they prepared for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Unfortunately, there won’t be much of an advantage here since the Steelers actually had a real bye week ahead of this contest.
Cleveland needed their last win in a huge way and Case Keenum and D’Ernest Johnson delivered as they filled in for Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, and Kareem Hunt.
Now, they’re getting ready for their first AFC North matchup of the season and while they might not be much better in the health department, their “next man up” mentality has been in effect all season and should help there here.
Browns vs. Steelers Odds Week 8
The Week 8 betting odds on WynnBET has Cleveland favored by 3.5 points early in the week. That’s an interesting line considering Baker Mayfield didn’t practice on Monday and could still miss the game. However, Nick Chubb looks as though he could be back which would be a huge boost.
As for the moneyline, that stands at -175 for Cleveland and +155 for Pittsburgh. The over/under is 42.5 and after the 17-14 game the Browns had last week, it’s easy to see why that’s so low.
Browns vs. Steelers Prediction Week 8
The win over Denver kept Cleveland within striking distance of the Ravens and Bengals. Now, they have another huge opportunity in front of them in their first AFC North game. If they win the majority of these, they should be in contention when the season is over.
This prediction is that they will start out 1-0 in their division with a 20-16 win over the Steelers. Again, this one won’t be pretty but the blue-collar boys from Northeast Ohio will send their biggest rival home with another loss.
