Cleveland Browns 5 best victories over Pittsburgh Steelers

Thursday Night Cold As Ice Game
Back on December 10th, 2009 the Browns played the Steelers in a game the Steelers simply thought they’d beat their opponent by just showing up. It was a cold night with wind chills were well below zero. Pittsburgh was still in the playoff picture and were defending Super Bowl Champs but the Browns were 1-11 and getting prepared to fire then-head coach Eric Mangini.
What took place that night for every Browns fan will live in our fondest of memories.
Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was sacked by the Browns eight times. It was a thing of beauty and the defense played with heart and soul like no other game that year. Josh Cribbs the Browns specialist in returning kicks also played as a quarterback a few times. He had over 80 yards rushing in the game and also took back a punt 55 yards to set the offense up for a score.
The Browns had finally defeated the Steelers in what had been six years and 12 straight losses, so the timing of the late-season win was almost magical after the struggles over the previous years.
It’s funny too to know that the Steelers now lead the series by 77-61 and one tie, but the series started out with the Browns being the dominant team. The series started in 1950 and the Browns won eight straight games in which the Steelers didn’t win a game until 1954. And it was 1959 until the Steelers won two games in a row against the Browns.
