5 Bold Cleveland Browns predictions vs. Steelers in Week 8
By John Suchan
Cleveland Browns Bold Prediction No. 2: The Browns defensive will shut out Steelers in first half
The Browns defense will shut out their second opponent in two weeks in the first half — last Thursday, they shut out the Broncos in the first 30 minutes. Sure, the Steelers are a decent offensive team, for instance, they went off for 500 yards in the playoff game last year.
But Cleveland has something to prove because their defense has been questioned all season. They impressed many with that first-half shutout a week ago but can impress more by doing so against a more dangerous offense.
Players such as defensive end Myles Garrett and new free safety John Johnson III have a lot on the line and their team’s reputation. What better game to put that unnecessary chatter to sleep than with a dominating and overwhelming performance on game day. The defense has had a stark difference in points given up from week to week. From 47 points to as little as six points. This defense knows it needs to start making a better name for itself.
Cleveland Browns Bold Prediction No. 1: D’Ernest Johnson will celebrate his touchdown run with his personalized celebration
D’Ernest Johnson had a heck of a game last Thursday going for 146 yards and a score. He has said since that game that he was so excited about scoring that touchdown that he forgot what he wanted to do to celebrate.
He has now come up with a personalized act that he hopes to show off after he reaches pay dirt Sunday. It’s been reported in the last week that Johnson had been briefly working on a fishing boat off the Florida Keys when he wasn’t in the NFL.
So to celebrate that past, Johnson has said he’ll be pulling in a fish with his imaginary fishing line with the help of his teammates as acting mates. I can’t wait to watch that on the Jumbotron at First Energy Stadium.
