Cleveland Browns Target No. 2 – DeVante Parker

After an extremely disappointing start to the season, is it possible the Miami Dolphins are looking to clean house? There are rumors that Xavien Howard is on the trade block, so why not DeVante Parker?

The seven-year vet has spent his entire career in Miami and has had a lot of success with not a ton of great quarterback play in recent history. His best season came just two seasons ago when he had 1,202 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Parker is a bigger receiver at 6-foot-3, 219 pounds, and is certainly more of a possession guy than a vertical threat, but that works with Anthony Schwartz and Donovan Peoples-Jones on the roster.

Parker may not be near the player as OBJ, but if he can get in sync with Mayfield, he has the potential for double or triple the production. Parker is under contract the next two seasons for under $10 million per year and has a small percentage of dead money if the Browns ever needed to move on.

Not only does Parker make sense for the Browns, but the Dolphins may also be the perfect team as they could be interested in re-homing OBJ. They have shown interest in Deshaun Watson, so they may believe those two guys could be the face of the offense in 2022?

It sounds crazy, but at this point, a trade of OBJ for Parker straight up would be great for the Browns from a cap standpoint, but the Cleveland Browns should be able to get an additional pick in return.
