2022 Trade Deadline: 3 receivers the Cleveland Browns should consider adding

Cleveland Browns Target No. 1 – Brandin Cooks
The trade that continues to make the most sense to me is Brandin Cooks of the Houston Texans. Not only does Cooks appear unhappy, but the Texans are also a bit of a dumpster fire with the uncertainty of Deshaun Watson moving forward.
Not only is Cooks a vertical threat and has great hands, but his contract is also nearly half of what they are paying Beckham or Landry. On top of that, Cooks has had over 1,000 yards receiving for four different teams, meaning he can adjust to change.
With Peoples-Jones on the outside and Cooks and Landry on the inside, your receiver room looks pretty solid for the next two years. Don’t forget, unless you found a home for OBJ, you would also have him in the mix for the remainder of 2021.
I’ll be honest, adding any of these receivers to the roster at this point would create a ton of drama, but is also a move I think must be done for the team to move one. I think Andrew Berry will strongly consider a move at the position, but I also expect the team to move on from OBJ if they do so. A trade with very little in return is the most likely option.
Landry was bad on Sunday vs. the Steelers, but still had triple the production of OBJ. It’s sad to move on from a guy with so much talent, but it just wasn’t a fit in Cleveland.
