4 players that will be key to a Cleveland Browns victory on Sunday
By Greg Newland
The Cleveland Browns have a must-win game on Sunday vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. These four players must step up for the Browns to get the win.
The Cleveland Browns are coming off what may be the most disappointing loss of the season. A 15-10 heartbreaking loss where the Browns had two chances to score a touchdown late in the game and get the win.
A fumble, false start, and two dropped passes (all of which happened from one player) were just too much to overcome for Cleveland. What’s even worst, the Steelers got this win after attempting a fake field goal and losing their kicker for the remainder of the game.
With all that, the Browns still have five division games remaining and can get their season back on track with a win in Cincinnati on Sunday. This will be no easy task as Joe Burrow and cast will be extra hungry after dropping a game to the New York Jets last weekend.
The Bengals have an explosive offense, and they can get to the passer on defense. This is a game the Cleveland Browns can win, but these four players must step up to get it done.
Cleveland Browns Key Player No. 4 – Demetric Felton
I hate to put pressure on a rookie, but it’s time for Demetric Felton to shine as he did in the preseason and early in the regular season. After a few nice plays on special teams and an explosive touchdown vs. the Houston Texans, his production has really slid.
He hasn’t gotten a ton of opportunities, but with Kareem Hunt out once again, he will likely see some third-down snaps.
The biggest improvement I want to see from Felton, not losing yards on the punt return. Catch the ball, run forward if there is space, go down if you don’t see any space. It seems like he is losing three to four yards every return and that can’t happen in Week 9.
