2022 Cleveland Browns mock draft: Wide receiver help is primary focus
By Randy Gurzi
Cleveland Browns Round 4 pick: Kyler Gordon, CB, Washington
With their first of two picks in the fourth round, the Browns elect to add some depth to their cornerback room. This season has been more of the same in that department as players are dropping like flies at the position.
Denzel Ward and Greg Newsome have each missed time and one of the healthiest players at the position this year has been Greedy Williams, which tells us what we need to know.
Kyler Gordon ends up joining the ranks here as they land a 6-foot-0, 200-pounder who continues to make strides as a player. This season, he has 28 tackles and two picks in eight games.
Cleveland Browns Round 4 pick: Romeo Doubs, WR, Nevada
Another wide receiver is added for Cleveland as their second pick in Round 4 is used to acquire Romeo Doubs from Nevada. He’s another guy who brings in some much-needed height at 6-foot-2 and 200-pounds. He’s also blessed with great speed, evidenced by his 17.3 yards per reception average in 2020.
Again, the goal from this front office is going to be getting younger and more explosive at wideout. Adding Treylon Burks in Round 1 and Doubs here will help accomplish exactly that.
